- <p> DIED. Margaret Hockaday, 85, adwoman; in New York City.
- Hockaday launched her own firm in 1949 out of a former
- barbershop. Four years later she scored with a campaign that
- placed Dunbar furniture in offbeat surroundings: on a grass
- carpet, inside a half-built house. Hockaday's slogans, such as
- her immortal elegy to a brand of Scotch ("As long as you're up,
- get me a Grant's"), often filtered into Pop culture.
